Overview

The Blessing the Culture 2025–2026 Schools Out Powwow on April 25, 2026, is a free community event celebrating Native culture, youth leadership, and the end of the school year. This powwow is organized through a collaboration between the Indigenous Student Collective at Wichita State University and the Wichita Public Schools Native American Indian Education Program within Wichita Public Schools.

Native students from both programs help plan and participate in the event as a way to celebrate, share, and educate the community about Indigenous cultures. Powwows are important cultural gatherings that bring people together through traditional dance, music, regalia, and community connection.

This event is free and open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend, learn, and celebrate alongside Native students and families.
