Overview
Beat the Heat is a national event where citizens can race police officers from different departments down the track at Kansas International Dragway. It was started as an initiative to reduce street racing and get people to the drag strips.
No race car is needed, you can bring your daily driver, your mom-mobile and see if you can out run the cops.
We are also doing our test and tune and again, no race car required. You can grudge match a friend, or just see how fast your car can go down the track.
if you have never been down the track this is the perfect time to learn! The staff can give you tips and show you how to do it.
The concession stand will be open, you can meet and greet with the officers, and see some fun races. 4+ hours of fun for just $10 per adult, and kids 17 and under are free!
