ANNOUNCING
Chautauqua: Cultivating Community
October 3+4, 2026
We are proud to announce Chautauqua: Cultivating Community, a weekend of interactive workshops, hands-on craft sessions, and inspiring educational lectures right here in Bartlett Arboretum. Rooted in the themes of mutual learning and fostering an enduring spirit of community, the two-day event will transform the arboretum into an open-air classroom and cultural forum.
The Chautauqua movement, which originated in the late 1800s as an assembly for education, art, and community enlightenment, has expanded over the last century to locations stretching from New York to Colorado. By launching our inaugural assembly this year, Bartlett Arboretum joins the Chautauqua Trail, providing a modern sanctuary for folks to unplug, share knowledge, and connect deeply with their neighbors.
We invite you to join us in celebrating community. Find a schedule, purchase tickets, read more about our presenters and workshops on our website: https://bartlettarboretum.com/events/chautauqua/overview .
