Christmas Tree Gala and Bake Sale

The Derby Historical Society is excited to host its 8th annual Christmas Tree Gala and Bake Sale at the Hubbard Arts Center (309 N. Woodlawn) in Derby. It is a fun event for families or friends to attend. Admission is free. Purchase raffle tickets (2 for $5) to enter into a drawing for your favorite tree or basket. There are around 50 baskets and 40 trees! And pick up some sweets for you or a friend. The bake sale will include cookies, breads, candies, pies and more. 

Schedule: December 1-6, 2025

• Mon.-Thurs. from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Fri. from 5-8 p.m. (Wine and cheese will be served from 5-7)
• Sat. from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
• Drawings for trees and baskets will occur Saturday, Dec. 6 at 3:30 p.m. Need not be present to win (pickup time will be arranged when winners are notified.)

Proceeds: Proceeds go toward operation of the Derby Historical Museum, such as electrical and HVAC updates for the building, as well as installation of a wheelchair lift for second floor access. To learn more about these repairs, read about the society's capital campaign here.
